Simply put, facial mists are beauty savers that take your face from looking tired and lackluster to bright and dewy with just a few spritzes. These mists do wonders on all skin types and aim to balance your oil production while keeping your skin feeling fresh. Some of the products contain serums, multivitamins, aloe and essential oils. Mists are also an easy way to improve the radiance of your skin.
1. As a toner: Spray on some of your facial mist before your morning beauty routine. Let it settle into your skin and then slather on your serum-day cream-sunscreen regime. The face mist preps your skin with a moist and nourished base.
2. To set your makeup: Looking for that natural, dewy makeup look or simply despise the powdery makeup-y complexion. Just spray the mist once or twice from a distance (I actually lightly cloud the air and then walk through it, and repeat if necessary) to cut out the chalky matte look and achieve a healthy glow.
3. As a DIY sheet mask: Spray enough of the product to soak a light-weight facial tissue. Spread it onto your face like a mask and enjoy as the product seeps into your skin. After about 10 minutes or when the tissue dries off, remove it and continue your beauty regime. No need to wash it off or wipe it.
4. To retouch your makeup: Heading to a party from work? On days when you don’t have time to re-work your makeup routine, spray your facial mist generously. Let it settle and dab off the remaining product gently. Once your face is refreshed, dab on your concealer wherever needed and retouch your makeup.
These mists suit all skin types, and they are hydrating products with vitamins and minerals. They’re perfect for that mid-day pick-me-up and to improve the overall appearance of your skin. If you haven't tried facials mists, try them. The products are easy to apply and there are many options out there, so you are sure to find one that works for you. These are some of my tried and tested favourites.
