They are the holy grail of any makeup kit but if not used well it can ruin your entire look. Here are some lesson I’ve learnt over the years
For the longest time I didn’t appreciate dusting some translucent powder on the areas concealed. I soon realised a light dab of powder not only helps settle in the concealer but also keeps it intact for longer. Pro tip: Make sure you use a eye shadow or concealer brush for the powder. This is will help you perfectly conceal the blemishes.
I recommend: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
Why I love it: It's hydrating with light diffusing technology to create a softer, smoother complexion.
The limitless options are confusing but here’s an easy tip to remember. Pen formulas and liquids concealers are perfect for the under eye. They are easy to apply and balance the under eyes better. Solid concealers are best used on scars, blemishes or to hide acne.
I recommend: Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer
Why I love it: It's an ultra long-lasting, matte finish, oil-free, waterproof, full coverage concealer.
It’s mostly a personal preference but I recommend applying the concealer after your BB Cream or foundation. Simply because if you apply it before then it may smudge or spread and you’d have to reapply it.
I recommend: Loreal BB Concealer
Why I love it: It's a lightweight concealer with a roll on applicator and caffeine enriched formula. Bid goodbye to eye bags!
Never, never, never drag the skin under your eye or roughly scrub through. It’s the most delicate part on your skin and easily wrinkles. To avoid crow’s feet and wrinkle dab and settle your under eye concealer.
I recommend: YSL Touche Eclat
Why I love it: It's a luminizing pen that brings light and radiance to the skin, almost immediately erases any signs of fatigue, and brightens the complexion.
Like there are different concealers for different uses, you should apply concealers with your fingers and brushes. Fingers work best for your under eye area whereas, use a concealer brush to apply and lighten your scars and acne.
I recommend: Giorgio Armani Maestro Eraser
Why I love it: It's a concealer pairs skincare and makeup, treats and minimizes the appearance of dark undereye circles.
