Going to fashion school can never be a chore, not for us at least. Vogue organised the Vogue School of Style for their readers and fashionistas. Over high summer coolers and delectable snacks at Shiro, the Vogue team put together a great presentation for a 1-2-3 quick guide to fashion dos and don'ts. Based on body types and work environment we loved how they emphasised on 'work to bar' transformations.
Here, they talked about office drawer essentials, dressing your look up or down along with makeup and hair tips. Some things we re-learnt:
1. Always have a statement necklace, a jacket, a pair of heels and a bright shade of lipstick handy in your office drawer or your everyday bag, so you can be ready to go practically anywhere at anytime.
2. When in doubt, just stick to monochrome outfits top to toe and add colour with accessories and makeup.
3. This season the 70s are back so pop colours, shimmer and shine from the disco era and monochrome pant suits are making a come back.
4. Layering works for everyone and helps in jazzing up an outfit, try layering in the same colour with different fabrics. E.g. mix white crepe with white linen, white jute and white cotton etc.
