My daughter Karam is now three and we are now sure that she gets her stubbornness from her parents.
Our current favourite topic at home is to potty training. While she knows and understands everything, transitioning 100% has been an uphill ride for us. One of her whims is that she refuses to use toilets outside the house and is still not potty trained while sleeping.
Given that she is so grown up, managing her diaper needs became increasingly difficult. That's when I found the Huggies pants. I was using pants even in the past however, now I had a child who wanted to wear it on her own and take it off when done. Also an older kid means more leaks especially while sleeping.
Huggies as compared to the other brands I have tried is way softer and less paper like, leaving no room for discomfort. My daughter puts on the pants herself without tearing them because they are flexible too unlike some others that just rip apart while wearing.
She is also very picky about colours and what she wears so she loves that she gets to wear her pants in pink, even though I make sure we don't gender stereotype around her, she has always liked the colour. Huggies pants have doubled up as training pants in this period for us. As we transition through this phase and hopefully be fully potty trained in the next couple months, this is our journey with our spirited toddler.
My husband and I travel a lot so I always have these on me for long airport hauls and flights. My daughter refuses to use the airplane loos so these really make her comfortable.
I caught her playing with her Huggies pants on and I questioned her about it. She says, " Mama I'm doing artwork please don't disturb me," clearly being sneaky so she can continue playing uninterrupted.
When it's time for a nap, Karam always picks out her pants from the diaper caddy and quickly wears them because she doesn't want to "ruin the bed".
We are off to another adventure with this naughty brat and thanks to her Huggies pants we will have a comfortable and germ-free journey.
And for all those mums who are struggling like me, hang in there, it will get easier!
