Fashion Bombay is not about trends or glamour or looking great, it is two friends who have been on a journey of self-realisation and expression using fashion as a celebration of passions, travels and the life we live.
For the past 7 years, our readers have been persistent and kind, giving us the courage to try something new so we can give back what we have so generously received. Fashion Bombay is now a platform for everything that matters to you, to us and women around the world. Be a part of this exciting new journey with us.
Eager to step into the real world, Sonu started working soon after her Bachelors in Literature from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She was absorbed by the beauty of Bombay and was writing for Times of South Mumbai, a weekly supplement by The Times of India. Soon she discovered her passion for fashion and started styling for iDiva. After flirting with the idea of starting her own website, she got together with Jasleen and gave birth to Fashion Bombay. It was their space to rediscover global fashion with a desi twist.
Recently moved to Muscat, Oman where she has her own fashion column -- In Style -- in Muscat Daily. Sonu loves to learn something new everyday to lead a more 'Pin-worthy' lifestyle.
With an MA in Marketing from The University of Nottingham in the UK, Jasleen was less than impressed with what typical marketing (read sales) related jobs had to offer. She joined Vijay Mallya's luxury magazine Hi! Blitz as a writer for a 2-year stint followed by her move to The Times of India's women's publication Rouge as an Assistant Editor. After spending 3 years at this publication, Fashion Bombay was born and that is when she decided to quit her job to pursue her passion. Now that the blog is setup and running, Jasleen uses her time and skills to work as the Content Head at a digital marketing agency. A new mom to an adorable baby girl, Jasleen has a fashionista in the making.
