Donuts anyone?!

We love accessories, especially new novel ones. Designers Mayank Anand and Shraddha Nigam sent over something really cool to us at Fashion Bombay. These new donut scarves can be worn 6 ways and while Sonu settled on the jacket style, Jasleen couldn't restrict herself to one for the photoshoot.
These silk scarves/ jackets are so easy to wear and a simple way of genius to coverup a tube dress, add colour to an outfit or simply layer without hassle.

We wore these looks over a lunch date in Bandra.

Sonu wore her donut as a jacket over her maxi dress

Four dress for all body types

As the party season approaches, we thought we'll jot down a list of dresses that look good on all, irrespective of your body type. These dresses will help you cover problem areas and can come to your rescuse on all occasions.

The shift dress
A shift dress is a dress that doesn't add any definition to any body part like the waist or the bust. They usually have discreet necklines too. A dress like that is very simple to wear for any body type because it hides all problem areas. If you want to accentuate any body part you can use, belts, necklaces, brooches and blazers to do so. They are very easy to work with and can be dressed up or down at will.

The A-line dress
The A-line dress looks simple and elegant for all occasions and on all women. Add long links and high heels to appear slimmer or a shrug to balance the upper and lower body if you have a pear shaped body.

The wrap dress
The wrap dress hides the waist for apple shapes, adds curves to the banana body types and creates a feminine shape for the hour glass and pear shape bodies. You can choose from cottons, linens and jersey materials that are commonly used for wrap dresses.

The maxi dress
Maxi dresses can suit all body types as long as you play with prints and colours to suit your body. Wear solid colours if you are tall, wear small prints and bright colours if you are petite. Read more about maxi dresses here.

Kingdom of Jewels

A few days ago (remember this post), we had tied up with Swarovski for the launch of their new collection: Kingdom of Jewels. Although, we rarely attend events (often find them too cumbersome to dress up and invest time in the chit-chat), this event was one we didn't want to miss. A fun styling event in collaboration with Grazia with some champagnes and mini burgers down, friendly gossip with fellow bloggers, we were glad we attended the event.
Here's a glimpse of what we wore:
Jasleen is wearing: tunic, c/o Mango via| skirt, F21| bag, Pushkar mela| loafers, Zara
Sonu is wearing: tank, pants & wedges, Zara| jacket, Fashion Street (last worn here)| lipstick, Chambor's Flambe
