Yes, we have worn them in the past but the tunic/ kurta with leggings
look has been exploited and exhausted as far as we are concerned. We are
always on the lookout to revamp our kurtas as dresses, tops and what not.
Below are another one of our attempts to twist the traditional kurta/
tunic to create something fun and new.
-- Change up the silhouette with jeans, loose pants, palazzos, dhoti style pants, Jodhpuris or a belt etc.
-- Even your makeup and hair dictate the way your look goes. For instance, a sleek high bun can be chic while loose hair can look very everyday casual. Red lips can mean wearing the look to a small get together while a no makeup look is ideal for a movie or shopping.

Quick fix tips:
-- To modernise the kurta, add western elements like chic shoes, modern jewellery or a stylish bag etc.-- Change up the silhouette with jeans, loose pants, palazzos, dhoti style pants, Jodhpuris or a belt etc.
-- Even your makeup and hair dictate the way your look goes. For instance, a sleek high bun can be chic while loose hair can look very everyday casual. Red lips can mean wearing the look to a small get together while a no makeup look is ideal for a movie or shopping.

ReplyDeletei love the prints on both your kurtas! And I know about H2O...It's also one of my places to shop in Mumbai..(plus its so close to candies!!)
ReplyDeleteNice post :). I sometimes wear kurtas without slits as dresses accessorised with a nice belt or statement neckless/bracelet. Kurtas/kurtis also double as beachside/poolside cover-ups over bikinis and swimsuits.
