Jacket News

Winters may have not officially hit the city but we like to be prepared. Our recent buys from Attic were begging to be debuted on the blog. This is how we wore are newly acquired blazers.

Jacket tips:
1. If you have a broad midriff, stay away from cropped blazers/ jackets since they tend to lay emphasis on your middle portion.
2. Boyfriend blazer lengths are flattering on most shapes but if you have very wide hips, you must wear something that ends under your waist and is slightly shorter than the boyfriend blazer.
3. Cotton and jersey are good materials for the Bombay weather.
4. Always check the lining on your blazer because it makes a huge difference to the fit and look of the jacket.
5. You don't have to button up your jacket, so buy a jacket that fits you well on the waist, arm holes and shoulder, even if it doesn't button up. A size larger can make you look sloppy.

Jasleen wore a mustard tunic with linen pants with her jacket
Pants, Mango| tunic, Vero Moda, gifted by G| jacket, Quirk Box at Attic| chappals, Colaba Causeway| bag, Dharavi| bow ring, Bandra

Sonu wore a blazer with a bright and black denim
Blazer, Half Full @ Attic| jeans and bag, Mango| shirt, Fashion Street (last worn here)| kohlapuri wedges, Colaba Causeway| glares, Ray Ban

  4. I am not a blogger or fashion critic or stylist or any such thing. I visit your blog mainly for inspiration and tips since I like your casual-comfortable-colorful-chic style :)

Just a few comments though...(Please dont think that I am a hater and I am criticizing you guys just for the heck of it.)
    1. You keep you long hair down and about in 99% of the pictures. Jasleen's hair(its very long and too pretty) almost covers up half of her outfit most of the time :( It would be nice if you could do some different hair style once in a while. I say this because I too have long hair(till below my waist) and it would be great to see some style tips for hair as well.

    2. Now this one is a serious complaint...Why dont you guys ever wear Indian/ethnic attire? :-o
Most of the time you are dressed in nice flowy/airy/roomy/ clothes. Why not debut some pretty kurtis & salwars. You could probably give some styling tips on different ways to wear the traditional salwaar-kameez.

    3. I would also love to see you do some evening/nightout looks as well apart form all the daytime looks that you do.

These are all my suggestions. Please dont take them otherwise. I absolutely love your blog :)

  5. Love the way these outfits are put together! And that's a great tip about lining- people should spend time looking at the inside of a garment for tailoring quality, fit, and feel.

  6. i like jasleen's look
and as is most of the times, sonu gets it wrong.. there is a very thin line between edcy/colourful/quiry and clown.. sonu's look is tilting more on the clown side!
    love jasleen hair.. gorgeous.
