Pretty pink and Army strict

Jasleen: I realised I have a lot of pink things in my wardrobe - my pink overnight bag, three pink shoes, pink scrunchies, a pink workout mat, two pink sweatpants and I never even knew I was a 'pink' kind of girl.

Dress, tailor-made| shoes, Bandra| bag, borrowed from my sister| ring, flea market| bib necklace, Aldo
  • Last year ombre shades were doing the rounds and this year we are seeing a lot of splashes and shadings in clothes.
  • I love this pleated dress because it adds volume to my apple shape (narrow hips, wide shoulders), making it a flattering shape for me. Although, for most Indian type figures (fuller hips) this may not be a good style.
  • In this look I decided to offset the sugary sweetness of the colours with black. The black bib necklace and notice the attempt at black eye makeup too! I have been experimenting with makeup looks, so tell me what you think of this look.
  • If you don't already have a bib necklace then it's time you get yourself one. Available it cloth, lace, pearls and stone-encrusted, you can find one to suit your personality. They look great with shirts, dresses and even casual tees. See how Jasleen wore her bib necklace here, here and here.
Sonu: My outfit was dictated by my mood today. An Army-inspired look with the blazer and belt.
Wearing: Blazer as a shirt from Fashion Street| oriental-print pants, Mango| bag, Dad's| shoes, Bandra| belt, DIY| watch, Guess| coin ring. Amrapali
  • Try experimenting with your blazers. The Bombay doesn't allow you to layer much, so wear a blazer as a shirt for a chic look. Add a belt depending on your body shape and preference.
  • This DIY is the easiest thing for anyone to try. To spruce up my outfit, I simply added an Army brooch to a plain cloth belt.
  • Briefcase bags are my current obsession and I'm loving this old vintage bag I found in my Dad's closet. It goes with almost everything.
  • Doing white is a lot of fun because there are so many ways of wearing it. I wore these Oriental-print military green pants with a white tunic here.
  • I also think a pair of Raybans is a must in your style wardrobe, while mine our reminiscent of the gold Sex and the City shades that SJP wears, you can pick a more classic style in black or brown.
  • This is the same location as this link.

  10. Thanks a lot for your lovely comments and inputs.

@ Anonymous: Your choice of silhouette seems suitable for your body type. Since you mentioned you have a beautiful wheatish skin, tilt towards shades like corals and burnt reds to suit your skin tone. For more information feel free to email us @ jsostyle@gmail.com
