One dress three looks

Who says you can't wear one dress in different ways. We present to you three different looks just by changing the accessories.

Here's the dress:
This dress is by Encanto, a store in Vashi. Although far from the city, it's worth the drive to get there. For Rs 6,000/- this gown is quite a find because only designers make gowns which are hideously expensive. This is a good buy a formal event like a wedding or a cocktail party.

For the classic look:

Pearls are timeless and never go out of style. For a classic look dig up old tid bits from your mother's closet.

Clockwise: Pearl and g
old necklace, Curio Cottage, Rs 2,100/- turquoise coloured ring, Aquamarine, Rs 800/- pearl studs, Colaba Causeway, Rs 50/-

The traditional look:

A must-have in every wardrobe, a pair of jhumkas and a kada in antique gold will always be a fashion lifesaver.
Jhumkas, Rs 1,800/-; tangled kada, Curio Cottage, Rs 3,500/-

The contemporary look:
If contemporary designs are your style then you should pick unique pieces from Colaba Causeway, Chor Bazaar and Bandra. If you're in the mood to splurge head to Ensemble, Aquamarine or Curio Cottage, for one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces.

Tiger cuff, Curio Cottage, 3,500/- green earrings, Colaba Causeway, peep toe pumps, Aldo, Leopard print clutch, Oberoi Shopping Mall, Rs 1,500/-

Winter is here... well almost!

As Bombayites we wait for the winter season. The time to layer without being judged, the time where everyone feels colder than what it really is! We for one love this season, we can finally use the jackets and cardigans. Here are some of our picks for the season. We have here accessories and shoes that will give you the chills.

The plaid fantasy

These adorable ballerinas are available in for approximately Rs 650/- (They generally never have fixed prices so try bargaining to get a better deal. )

Cape town

This tweed cape is from Fashion street for Rs 250/- ONLY!! They had different colours and designers as well. Go get your pick.

Stole-n!

This crushed stretch cotton stole was a must buy this season. Available at Oberoi Shopping Mall for Rs600/-

Embroidered tote

This embroidered tote reminds me of the Kashmiri craftsmenship. At Rs 950/- available at Hues, Bandra, this tote is an absolute necessity this season.

The hunter instinct

This was an impulsive buy, but I'm so happy I bought it. The leopard print is very neatly beaded together and looks great with a dress or a jeans. Bought from the Oberoi Shopping Mall for Rs 1,300/-

Get the blues

This indigo-coloured bag is just the thing you need when you're out for a movie or dinner. Not too bag or too small, this bag coincidentally is the colour of the season. Available at Paprika, Phoenix Mills for Rs 1,200/-

Recycle and Reuse

1. Flowery
We try to re-create accessories from our surroundings. This faux flower was a decorative piece on a box which we made into a broach.

2. Linking the facts
This is a handle to a clutch which we sometimes reuse it as a bracelet. Try to maximise the use of your accessories and jewellery in a similar fashion.

3. Super Star
This was a scrunchie which we wear as a broach and as headband. They are available easily in Bandra and Colaba Causeway. Keep a lookout for them and multiply their use.

Don't let the bird fly

This cage is very attractive, almost exotic. In fact, there was abird in it as well, sadly my bird flew away. Available at Promod for Rs 950/-
